As a local resident with my wonderful wife Catherine and my two young daughters, I am incredibly honoured and grateful for the opportunity to represent my local community as part of the Cook Labor Government.
I entered Parliament having previously been a proud teacher at Southern River College and a former Councillor at the City of Gosnells. As a former teacher, I am passionate about education and being part of a government that delivers a top quality education for the State’s students as it has the power to provide every child, regardless of their background, with the opportunity to succeed in life.
We are delivering on a number of exciting commitments in this space, including my promise to build two new primary schools in Southern River, having opened Southern Grove Primary School and Yarralinka Primary School. We are also delivering upgrades to facilities at our local high schools and putting additional education assistants back into WA classrooms

Sandra served on the board of Desert Blue Connect, a not-for-profit organisation delivering valuable services for the safety and wellbeing of women and families throughout the Midwest-Gascoyne and North Midlands regions.
Sandra is proudly regional and committed to being a strong voice for regional WA.
